Less Talk More Action

Happy Spring rundeepers,

I love TED articles and TED Talks. This article provides us simple steps to turn our words into actions. Often we have big dreams, but don't put forth a realistic plan to meet them. I challenge you to put steps into actions towards your goals. Why? Growth.

Growth gets us out of ruts, contentment, and small mindedness. Make a plan and maybe I can help you create a more strategic and thorough plan by using my coaching services. Fill out my worksheet and let's get to work!

Artful Imperfection

Hi rundeepers!

Here's a summary of the 2/6/16 meetup from "Daring Greatly," by Brene Brown.

Motivational reading: "Art, among all other tidy categories, most closely resembles what it is like to be human. To be alive. It is our nature to be imperfect. To have uncategorized feelings and emotions. To make and do things that doesn't sometimes necessarily make sense. It releases us from the expectation of perfection."

Focus topic: When can you give yourself "art" time? Do you need more? Do you need less?

See you Saturday!

Presently,

Ramey

Hi rundeepers!

We enjoyed spending time together on Saturday (from 1/30/16 rundeep meetup group)! Below is a summary of the reading from a book called, "Compassion," by Henri Nouwen from chapter 5.

Motivational Reading: "Living in the world as objects alienates us from it. Living in the world by hidenness and compassion unites us with it because it allows us to discover the world in the center of our being."

Focus topic: Our deepest struggles and pains help shape us. Our moments of solitude and meditation help us stay compassionate with others creating empathetic human inner connections.

Practice compassion and empathy this week with others, and when you're feeling overwhelmed, confused, or stressed, go within to that inner connected place and practice it with yourself.

Hi rundeepers!

Here's a summary of the readings for yesterday's rundeep meetup. We hope you join us next Saturday! I read from "The Next Chapter of Your Life," written by a variety of authors.

Motivational reading:

"Although it takes tremendous courage to change old thought patters, we can help ourselves do so by adopting the little engine's phrase, "I think I can, I think I can," when we feel helpless or overwhelmed. Keeping our self-talk empowering, not panic producing, helps us do what we want to do and enhances our peace of mind immeasurably." -Sue Patton Thoele

"All you can do is all you can do, but all you can do is enough." -A.L. Williams

Focus Topic: Break down your goals, and talk positively to yourself when you feel overwhelmed

See you next week!

Plan Your 2016 Goals

Hi rundeepers!

Happy New Year! I hope your five days of 2016 have been curious, present, and loving. My roommate gave me a birthday present that met me where I was during that time of my life. She gave me a book called, "The Next Chapter of Your Life," by Douglas Pagels.

1/2/2015 rundeep meetup recap:

Motivational Reading: "People spend more time planning for a vacation than they do planning for what they want in life. To effectively plan for success, you must be clear about your goals, map a route to reach them, set short-term goals, and schedule time to pursue them." -Connie Palladino, PhD

"Count your blessings, not your troubles. You'll make it through whatever comes along, Within you are so many answers. Understand, have courage, be strong." -Douglas Pagels

Focus Topic: Set clear goals you want to achieve in this new year, new day

If you aren't a self-disciplined person, hire me to help you set your goals, follow-up, share resources, and encourage you along your journey.

Cheers!

Ramey Miller

Let Your Actions Speak

Hi rundeepers!

We had a relaxing and fun run Saturday morning! I read from "The Attentive Life," by Leighton Ford. This is a quote from John Wesley, a theologian.

Motivational reading: "Thou, the brightest of the eternal glory, unto to thee is my heart, though without a word, my silence speaketh unto thee."

Focus topic: There are times when it's best to just be silent because your presence and actions will speak for themselves.

See you in 2016, since the next time we will be meeting is Saturday, January 2nd!

*I’m running a special on running or life coaching session until 12/31/15. You can 3 one hour sessions for the price of one, $75, worth $225 total! Email me if interested at rundeep805@gmail.com

You Matter

Hi rundeepers!

Here's a recap from yesterdays meetup. These are my journal notes from a retreat I went to a few years ago.

Motivational reading: We are more beautiful after the glass is shattered and put back together, making a more beautiful piece of art.

Focus Topic: What are you hiding from, and why? How can you be seen as the beautiful piece of art that you are?
